From Classroom to Real-World Impact
The main content we do is help PropNex which is a real estate company and the country’s largest publicly listed real estate agency. We normally help real estate agents shoot small skits which showcases the properties they are selling and paint the units and flats in a better light which are more appealing to the customers taste when they are looking for houses to buy.
Klick Culture
During my internship at Klick Culture, my role was being the director of photography and editor. I also helped out with other departments such as grip and gaffer. Klick Culture is a Singapore-based creative production company that specialices in videography, photography, and visual storytelling for weddings, corporate clients, and events. They focus on crafting high-quality, emotionally engaging content that helps individuals and brands communicate their stories through compelling visuals.
They also cater to other events such as SMU orientation videos as well as SG60s events where we showcased the well forgotten culture and heritage of Singapore. We also help shoot important company dinner videos and etc.
As a Director of Photography at Klick Culture, I shape the visual style of each project by designing lighting, framing, and camera movement. I work closely with directors and clients to achieve the desired look, lead camera and lighting setups on set, and ensure all footage is captured at high technical and creative standards. Through this experience I have learnt the different camera angles and compositions and I also have an idea of the creative direction and styles I need for a promotional video.
As an Editor at Klick Culture, I craft the final story by organizing footage, assembling scenes, and refining pacing, color, sound, and transitions. I collaborate with clients and directors to deliver polished, engaging videos that meet the project's creative vision and technical requirements. I have learnt the different techniques and skills such as the effects and transitions used to create an engaging and appealing video for viewers and also learn how to cut videos proportionately to go straight to the point as I was editing more corporate videos. I have also adapted a new software which was Vegas which I had never used before because it was an older software.
