In the fast-paced and competitive world of videography, it's not enough to simply have technical expertise. To truly stand out in the industry, we need to possess a unique set of skills that go beyond operating a camera or editing software. I am someone who understands the importance of these soft skills and has used them to my advantage. One of the key soft skills that I have mastered is communication. Effective communication is essential in film making, as it allows us to understand the clients' needs and bring their visions to life. My ability to listen attentively and clearly convey my ideas has helped me build strong relationships and make good connections with people has resulted in successful collaborations and satisfied customers.

I strongly believe that people's relations is powerful as they can help create a rapport with not just people from the film industry but also from other specialisations and skill sets which would help broaden my horizon and also request for help in different areas of expertise as well.

Normally, I would make my connections through the people I work with throughout my polytechnic years and also from outside for example when we hire paid actors for our short film projects. It really helped me meet new people and get to know them better as well

Another soft skill that sets me apart is my teamwork ability. Film making often involves working with a team of professionals, including directors, producers, and other crew members. My collaborative nature and willingness to work together with others have made me a valuable asset on set. Because I understand the importance of teamwork in achieving a common goal and is always ready to contribute my skills and ideas to the project.

Through the many assignments and passion projects that I have anticipated in, they all thought me how to work together in a group and take in feedbacks be it positive or negative and improve my work and enhanced my projects to be better. I have also learned to communicate effectively with people as it opened my eyes to the different people and how they view things differently and allowed me to see from their point of view to better improve on my work.

Adaptability is yet another soft skill that I excel at. Throughout my journey as a film student, adaptability has been not just a skill but a guiding principle, shaping my approach to every project and challenge I encounter. Adaptability isn't merely about being flexible; it's about being resilient in the face of adversity. It's about recognizing that no two projects are alike, and each demands a unique set of skills, perspectives, and solutions.

My journey in film has been a testament to the transformative power of adaptability. It has allowed me to remain calm and collected when there are things that go wrong as I have faced many problems and challenges not only in the technical aspects but also planning etc. It has allowed me to push the boundaries of my creativity, to transcend limitations, and to continually redefine what is possible.

There was once where my group forgot to plan out the equipment list properly and so we did not receive the equipments we needed for audio. I decided to use a rodeo mic and connect it to the camera and fix everything in audio post. However, it posed multiple challenges as well as it was a party scene and there were a lot of cans on the floor which made the audio peak. I had to adapt to whatever audio I had and cleaned it to make the audio sound better.

In conclusion, My journey through schooling has been enriched by the invaluable contribution of soft skills. They've not only aided in my academic success but have also equipped me with essential tools for personal and professional growth beyond the classroom. By leveraging my communication, teamwork, and adaptability abilities, I have been able to stand out and make a name for myself. That's why I believe I am suitable for a position in the company as I possess the right skill sets for the job
